Every voice needs to be heard.
I'm a Covid ICU survivor. At the time I was 47. I contracted it in December 2020. Christmas morning I woke up with a 106 degree fever. My relatives took me to the ER. I was admitted as my oxygen was low at 91. A few days later I was moved to ICU as I continued to decline. I ended up in Acute Hypoxic Respiratory Failure. I was hospitalized for 47 days. I was sent home with oxygen and still sleep with oxygen over 5 years later. There is a whole group of us out in the world with brain fog, PEM, CFS, shortness of breath among other symptoms. We struggle with severe sleep interruptions, nightmares and morning malaise. Many of these people were not even hospitalized. Our group needs medical solutions and the chance to be heard. We need assistance with life solutions as this seems to be a permanent health condition. I hope I am wrong. Sincerely, Britt A Taylor, Powder Springs, GA
