Debbi Towns

Caregiver

Every voice needs to be heard.

I am a caregiver taking care of a long Covid patient. My husband contracted Covid in August 2020. He had the classic loss of taste and brain fog. It improved a bit until he started getting vaccines. Since then he has had severe brain fog similar to someone who had a stroke. He has a hard time completing sentences, can't keep up with appointments, can't carry on a conversation on the phone. He has ADD - he can only do one thing at a time. Anything distracts him. It's very hard for him to drive because any distraction makes him lose concentration on driving. He has PEM so severe that even a conversation will tire him to the point he can't go on and it really affects his brain too. His vision is so affected that he can't read anymore. He has constant dizziness. He could not possibly live alone. Long Covid has stolen his life and mine too. There must be someone who can come up with a cure. Thank you, Debbi Towns.
